Partition F is empty

Hi

I have a old xbox with an hard driver and a Super Aladdin chip.
On the HDD evox is installed.

Now i make a new xbox with Excuter chip.
I used the old disk.
All works fine except one thing : the partition F is considered as empty.

If i launch the files explorer or the ftp server partition F is empty (in fact there is a lot of data in here).
What is strange is that only partition F is empty (all others have the correct data) and the available free space on partition F is displayed correctly as if it was not empty.

Do you know where is the problem ?
Is it an incompatibility for the disk between aladin and xecuter (because the disk works fine with aladin) ?

Have you config'd the bios's LBA48 mode?

ftp your box, copy your files to your pc, then format your hard drive from the X3 menu, then ftp your files back into your box
thats what i would do anyway

No for sure. Dont know what this is ...

The other problem (i post a question for that) is that i cannot return to bios menu because i enable the auto boot on dashboard.

So how can i return to the bios menu ?
And what i must do for LBA48 mode ?

for the lba48 :
1- in the x3 menu go to "X3 Config Live">"Costomize X3 Bios">"LBA 48 Mode:"
2- select the mode you would like (recommended : "F gets all")
3- check if that helps or try the format drive thing

you mean your ftp client is not allowing you to downlaod it or you dont have enough disk space?
if its space then thats your problem, but if its the client then what ftp client (program) are u using? i recommend FlashFXP

-in case you didn't know: formating your HDD well erase everything, thats why i told you to copy all files first then restore them

Strange i already post a reply but it does not appear.
So i post it again.

About ftp my problem is not the space. ftp works fine.
But i have a lot of data on partition F and using ftp will take a long time.
That is why i clone the disk with ghost.

The lba you mentionned i already tested it. Nothing better

Do you think there is a reason that aladin with same disk works fine and excuter all works (dashboard evox, other partitions, ...) except the partition f is empty ?
Is it some incompatibility between a disk working with aladin and not with excuter ?

Note that the hdd is a 160 gb disk.

F = LBA48 not set correctly or maybe you are using an older bulldhit version of unleashx

I had the same thing happen, using a 120 GB HD that I've had for about a year with no problems... started copying Guy Game using Px HDD loader and it froze half way.. did a reboot and the machine was pausing... very hard to do anything when it pauses on you every second... Got my machine connected to my PC and F partition was showing zero space but everything else was there... Dashboard still worked (pauses every second) etc... no info found on F partition at all... couldn't FTP them over to the PC and recover... I pulled out my old chip (homebuilt chip with way too many wires nothing like good al' first gen chips) and replaced it with an X3 hoping someone my old bios/chip was causing the problems... X3 did the same thing... freezing every second... Only thing I could do was format and restart from scratch... at least I had copies of everything but my games backed up... Now the machine seems to be working fine...

Oh, on an interesting note, I found games files from the Guy Game on some of my other partitions... seems like something with the loader and that game created a bubble in the proper order of things and it screwed up a boot file or something....

So, good luck on restoring your HD.... if you can get your F info back then all the better... if nothing else back up all the other partitions..

i just need... help

So i gotta a friend with a modded xbox360 and he told me me he took it some dude in VA to get it done and i found out today I have a lite on drive the same as him. My problem is idk where to start AT ALL.... I know the mod works for the drive and ive been finding out bits and pieces as of the last 4 days on what to look for/do/research etc. But like i said i havent the slightest what to ACTUALLY look for as far as a tutorial or if one exists to DIY modding without having to take it to someone. I just wanna mod it burn games and play online. I'm a complete noob when it comes to any of this so i need info on what i need and what it is. if anyone can help it'd be much appreciated.

If you are a complete novice - goto jungleflasher.net
in their downloads section is a file called "The Firmware Mod" - read that first before reading the tutorial.
