Partition Question?

I have a X3 SE on a v.1.2-1.3 Xbox and a new 80 GB Western Digital HDD. I installed the dashboard, they work, saved some games, they work with no disc, but what I was concerned about is the X,Y,Z partitions?I was wondering if there was any use for these and if you can delete them somehow. Also I was wondering If I could place all the files in the F Drive as very small amounts is being used in the others and Id rather have it all in F and C. In the 1985 Dashboard or the stock X3 Dashboard I did go to partition all drives, and set the LBa-48 option to "F drive gets everything no G drive", but when I FTP to my Xbox I still see the XYZ partitions.

the X, Y and Z are there by default and are used by some games such as halo 2 to speed up load times

you can put everything to F, in x3 bios menu choose F as your dashboard directory

Trace cuts 74850c can't extract keys ( MRA hack probe

Hi guys
I have tried to extract the keys on a lite on 74850c and its giving me problems. The drive is showing up in jungleflasher, using the probe and pressing dvd key32 tab and it just keeps coming up serial data is bad! if it's not showing me the key verification. I had the same problem on another 74850 and it always seems to be the these drives. Will this reqire a mra hack? btw i have the drive half open. I have also tried the flat head screwdriver on the 707 pins to make sure the probes not dead. Not sure if i should reset the pc or if there is something else i can try. Dam these lite ons.

try reading the jungleflasher tutorial!

there could be several reason why its not working ie
the hardware you are using
is drive already flashed with older fw?

btw the drive will ONLY show verified IF you have already dumped THAT drive on THAT PC and the fw is still where you originally saved it! (Unless you use 'Dummy from Keydb' function and it finds a working ket within its Keydb (stored in your registry from previous dumps))

i have read the tutorial mate, im using a ck3 pro and a ck3 pobe 2 with usb, by the looks of things i don't think the drive is going into vendor mode although i have tried over and over with tray half open. Could the usb be the problem? i understand people get this problem sometimes with usb. Btw this drive has been flashed with LT firmware i think.

it has been flashed with LT firmware? If it has been, the only way to get the keys back now is with an MRA hack!

I did the same thing a few months ago, wondering why the probe wouldn't work.. that's why, lol

try your soldering skills on any old pcb that has traces on it - practice makes perfect!

in the drop down box where it says the usb probe is ready make sure the correct com port is selected usually 3
i know a gew people that have forgot to select this

dont try to solder if you can help it.get a new probe that will di it and use conductive glue to repair traces. so much easier.

Right here are the steps i have taken, i restarted comp and opened JF, i saw the drive in the ports, then turned off the ck3 and started cutting the traces, i also cleaned the connection points for the probe 2, im 100% i followed the steps correctly.
Now i connect the probe and there is no drive showing, im also 100% which i/o port it should show on. The cuts are very proffesional and clean and i havn't cut too deep. I have tried the probe on all settings 22. 18 and 20 i know i have followed the JF tutorial correctly but i have no idea why the drive is not showing, the switch is also on MRA and it's showing me the correct lights. Please can someone give me some ideas as what i can do to get the drive up on JF. I will try post some pics i somehow need to get a magnifying glass so you can all see clearly.

BTW this is another drive that has been flashed with ix 1.6 i think.

as you can see the trace cuts are complete, nothing conducting between the cuts. I know the lite ons require a system restart but without the drive registering there is no point. There must be something im not doing right here.

if it had ix1.6 why are you mra'ing it?

dummy from ixtreme would have been the correct measure to take

yes when i tried dummy from ixtreame just keep saying to try with tray half open, im sure the drive was half open and did try it out a few occasions to make sure i did it correctly. The thing is, dummy from ixtreame is only for 1.5 or older, please don't tell me i need to update JF, after all this hard work, do i?

btw the drive is now showing in jf with the probe 2 with the trace cuts but i still cannot introduce device id.

im using ver 1.76

just tried it on 20 oms and it worked!!
