I have the exact same issue. It looks like some people are saying to erase the eeprom, but how do you do that?

Goosehead......try booting from a unleashX build disk i used GTjays_port_UNX_DISK_2.0 see xbins for file availability.
my process
1.boot to the X3cl screen locked with password
2.ftp to the X3 and copy the eeprom reset prog to e: or c:
3.boot from GTjays_port_UNX_DISK_2.0
4. goto filemanager
5. navigate to eeprom reset prog
6.run prog
7. :D :D :D :D :D

gud luk

accumulating achievments on a banned unit

I have a question.

If i were to play games on a banned unit, with my regular profile (transfered from my working xbox to my banned xbox) would i still collect the achievement points if i were to then put my profile back on the working xbox?

no, because your banned xbox may corrupt your game saves...

Re: accumulating achievments on a banned unit

So, am i to understand that as you play, the achievement points are stored on the HDD till you connect to live, where they are then applied to your live account? they are not posted to your profile directly on an offline machine.

I wouldn't be sharing the same HDD for both machines. Just wasn't sure how the achievements were stored on an xbox.

Correct. Offline means offline therefore it cant be updated to your profile

Re: accumulating achievments on a banned unit

You need to plug that hard drive into a unbanned console to update your gamescore

But for that you have to remove the CON FLAG on your profile...THEN plug it into a unbanned console and connect to live.

Search around i know someone just posted this fix up.
