for sum reason the xbox keeps asking me for a password, and ive tried the so called default one x3, ive tried to get help on irc and all but i cant seem to get this thing to work

I am also having this same problem. I have got the chip flashed with the new bios, but when it boots it asks me for a password. I have tried erasing the eeprom with the erase.xbe provided. nothing. I tried using flash fxp to execute it from the hard drive on the xbox while my evox cd is going. nothing. i have tried booting both with and without dashboards installed. nothing. I have tried three different versions of the bios now. i have a v1.6box. I know the chip is hooked up properly cuz i can flash it and boot to both banks.

For those of you out there that are having this same problem- not being able to access your x3config live dash after you have loaded the x3 bios, this is how you fix it.
I tried time and time again to burn the erase.xbe to disc and have it load that way. With all diff. sizes of dummy files. Each time it would act like it was gonna load and it just locked up. I also tried to execute it from flashfxp with the slayers disc loaded. locked up.
So, i got the evox M8 bios1.6 and loaded it into bank one, I booted with that and and got my evox to work. Then from evox i opened boxplorer and ran the erase.xbe from there. Now just reflash Bank 1234 with the x3 bios and boot. Also, for some reason my xbox already had a password stored and thats why i had to go thru all this crap. My box was brand new in the box and the first time it was ever turned on was after the chip was installed. ANYWAY- it works fine now.

new xbox, forgot to update on live before flashing LT?
As the subjects says i am an idiot, in all my haste to get the new xbox I just bought flashed to LT n bioshock 2 burned i have completely missed the first important step, to connect to live for a system update, any ideas? can someone who knows everything please tell me whether i can flash bak to stock n update? or whether to just connect to live now and hope for the best?

don't worry about it, if you got flagged for the next bann wave then so will everyone else that did the update before the update....
if LT is working correctly when you did the update it should give the correct challenge and responces......

ahhhh, u r a genius mightywiz, so in essence its irrelevant whether u update before flashing a new box because if u get banned it will be what is contained in the update before the ban that matters aka i can now go and play bioshock 2 like a kid on christmas
