I have a 0225 slim which I just RGH'd it to do a key recovery and found it was the wrong drive.

the customer now wants it kept as a RGH as there is not much other options atm till LTU.

I am trying to save myself a kamikazi and just to patch the KV with the drives current key.

although the manual just states
"Patch Nand: If I need to explain this – you shouldn’t be using it!"

I know I need to extract something, edit it and put it somewhere else before I select patch nand? correct?

but what those things are and where I do not know.

help appreciated

Why patch the NAND? Flash the drive to match. As JRunner says, kv modification is completely unnecessary.

In the case of a spelling error, I blame Tapatalk.

you need martin c's help. he know his stuff tom
he was one of the peoples who suggested this method the last time this situation happened, hopefully he will stumble upon this thread at some point today.

I don't recommend patching the NAND. That's all.

In the case of a spelling error, I blame Tapatalk.
I would say its less risky than doing a pointless kamikazi when the customer doesn't even want a flashed drive and all the nands are backed up too

Fixed this by doing this -

Try this from JRunner, select Advanced XeBuild Options. Using the first tab (All Machine Options) and edit the key in there before creating the glitched image. Make sure to also enable nofcrt patch from the XeBuild Patches menu.

Just my 2 cents but wont you have to kamikaze the drive anyways to get the key from the drive? So either way your gonna have to do something to extract the key.
lol u do relize u dont have to do anything to the drive to get the key unless u want to write firmware . you dont need to unlock to get copy of key.
