Hi guys, I had a brand new Nintendo Switch this week. But I realised that it's patched so I've updated it to 8.1.0 from 4.1.0. Is there any way to hack this switch? If not is there any exact time for sx os supoorts patched 8.1.0 switches? My serial number is XAJ10051257230

you shouldn't have updated it before informing yourself, in june someone found a exploit for the 4.1.0 patched versions, so you could jailbreak it.
I also think it will never be patched for 8.1.0, I have a patched switch with 5.1.0 fw and I think I'll have to wait some months (hopefully) to have an exploit, in your situation I wouldn't know what to do, wait for a better answer from some experienced people

Return it, if it was bought this week, buy another one, don't update from 4.1.0 and you can then install CFW. That is your best course of action as exploits for 8.1.0 are going to take a long long long long time. Seriously, do it right now!

Stores in my country usually doesn't take the products back unless you have a serious problem with it. I really regret to update it from 4.0.1. So waiting is the only way. Is it possible to downgrade the switch somehow? Or will it be possible in the future? Also is there any team which is working on hacking patched 8.1.0 switches?

I have just purchased a patched Switch and sadly the owner updated to 8.1.0. I have asked about online and other people say sell it and buy a none patched Switch as it is very unlikely a hack will be released.
Yes, but I bought my brand new Switch for 3,000 Turkish Liras and people sell used Switches for about 2,000 Turkish Liras. It's a very big lose for a brand new Switch. Also, it will be so difficult to find a new used Switch which is in good condition as my Switch. I think I'll just sit and wait for our turn for jailbreak and try to catch the deals in e shop.
I'd buy legit games instead of waiting, maybe where they are in bundle or some kind of offers, as someone already said the 8.1.0 will take geologic eras to be jailbroken, consider that in the luckiest situation I'll see a 5.1.0 in some months to go. Honestly speaking we could have a new exploit in a few weeks or in 1 year, cause I'm not really into the hackers community, let's wait for some news and than we'll understand better the situation
btw I understand you, also in europe you pay 320 euros for a new switch and gain only 210 if you sell it, it is quite an investment to buy one

Luckily the Switch I brought came with 3 games and I brought a cheap one the other day, so that will keep me going . To be honest I’m not holding my breath for any news on hacking, anyway let’s see what comes.

My switch has came with no games and also Nintendo's exclusive games such as Zelda, Super Mario are so expensive (nearly 1/5 of consoles price). I could only buy arcade games like Fifa, Overcooked. To be honest I regret buying this device. I could play Fifa in my PC so its so stupid to have 300 dollars console with only Fifa which can be played in other platforms.
