I have a very nice M$ joystick that appears very similar (minus the green) to the Xbox one and I found a USB to Xbox adapter. I would like to just use the one I have on the box rather than spending another $100 for the same thing with a differnt plug. Before I buy anything, I'm just wondering if anyone has attempted using any PC controllers in games, i.e. not just keyboard and mouse in Linux? In particular a M$ Sidewinder 2 joystick?

I know you can use an xbox controller in the pc but theres a spare wire for the xbox and cant remember what its for so not too sure if ya can swap them the other way round.

do a search on google i think thats where i found the info.

you can get the drivers to run an xbox controller in your pc here http://www.redcl0ud.com/xbcd.html#download

these controllers look interesting...anyone got one?

BenQ + Silicon Image SATA card

This is my situation:
- BenQ drive, probably stock firmware (never been touched or online)
- SATA PCI Card: Silicon Image SiI3512 (http://www.sweex.com/en/assortiment/connectivity/pci-cards/PU102)
- motherboard: SiS650
- Installed PortIO32.dll manually
- running Windows XP SP3 with .NET v3.5
- JungleFlasher v0.1.55 Beta

Whatever I do, I can't see the drive in JungleFlasher (not even in the Silicon Image SATA Controllers progam)

On the MTK Flash 32 Tab, I do see 4 IDE and some SATA ports (no SATA on my motherboard, so they are verified from the SATA Card).
But all ports give the "No drive detected!" error.

Is this simply because of the chipset on the SATA card?
Or am I plugging in the BenQ drive in the wrong order. (I do use the power of the Xbox itself to power the BenQ drive, so no connectivity kit or so).

make sure you use the primary sata port and make sure you dont have the via only box ticked in jf

Re: BenQ + Silicon Image SATA card

I tried both SATA ports on the card and the VIA only box isn't ticked in.

Re: BenQ + Silicon Image SATA card

Just bought a Conceptronic SATA IDE Combo Card (http://www.conceptronic.net/Site/desktopdefault.aspx?tabindex=1&tabid=212&cid=10&gid=1060&pid=CSATACOMBO)

That one has a Via VT6421A chipset.
Will try it tonight.
