You will need an X360USB Pro / CK3 or X360USB Pro v2 to connect to your PC. Connection via onboard SATA ports is not supported.

TX Replacement PCB's are shipped blank. No port in JF will see it as their is no fw on the pcb. The directions clearly state that you need to INTRO the port (in JF) that the pcb is hooked to which will put the drive into vendor mode. With good chip properties you should be able to write to the drive.

Onboard Sata Setup:

1. Ensure: ahci or raid is disabled in bios (native ide - ok)
2. Primary sata1 or 0 (lowest#) - Each sata port is labled on the mobo
3. Ensure: include non-ide - ticked/via only - unticked < in JF
4. Scroll thru your i/o ports and note the port that the drive is on

OS won't boot? BSOD? - RAID/AHCI disabled bootfix -> http://bit.ly/JYTqQR

BTW: Yes some onboard chipsets are quite compatible w/slim drives

No they are not, onboard sata is very much hit and miss and not reliable..

Hi thanks for the reply, with regards to the board being empty, i didn't explain completely what i am trying to do,The board is already flashed etc, and i have been using it for a few months, I have an issue where occasionally i get a play dvd when inserting games into my xbox, I have read up on it, and it occurs on certain slim extractions using the latest version of jf, the fix was apparently to use a hex editor to view the dummy.bin and locate a certain string in the file and if it has a different value as its supposed to , it has to be edited and then the drive re flashed with the patched dummy.bin So i have located the error and have patched it, now i just need to put the new patched file onto the drive, Sorry for not explaining, I will have to have another look at the pc, My chipset is on the list But as people say here maybe it is because i am trying to flash slim, Anyway my CHipset is - NVIDIA nForce MCP61 SATA Controller,
