Pc to Xbox FTP??? HELP!!!

i can only get max of 7.300Kb/s an bin told i can get upto 10 or 11..

anyone got any ideas??

speed also depends on the size of the transferred file. small files dont go really fast.

yer its fast enough but i just wanna be greedy an get it really fast... its annoying that other people are getting 10 - 11 an im getting 7!!!

It depends on a few things.

Does your bios / Dashboard support boost mode?

Does your client support boost mode? In order for us to improve your uploads... we need to know what you're doing But odds are... your hub/nic or something else... is just lagging it down.

i hear of boost mode all over but i dont really understand it. I can ftp with any dash i've got like evox even, and i can get 9-11mbps. I dont see any difference between dash's and no real difference if i ever use quix. Oh yea, I'm connected through a router wired up so i really should get those speeds all the time.

by default evox uses xbox for the pass and user.

yes you can change it in the evox.ini file.

7kb/s That's really slow. You should be getting at least 7-10 Mb/s not kb/s. If you ever wanted to backup a game I feel sorry for you you'll be waiting for days for it to finish. If you're running zonealarm uninstall it I've heard alot of people are having problems with it slowing down their ftp speeds. Hope that helps.

use avalaunch dash or the x3cl ftp severs. make sure that you turn off all software firewalls.

it's the x3 screen when you bootup. where you can config many things such as; dash boot priority, dash location, hdd setup, etc.......
