PCB LPC Rebuild Question w/ Pins 9 & 15

Can someone explain to me why on the PCB LPC Rebuild that pins 9 and 15 have a trace connecting them?

Reason I'm asking is that my trace is broken and I don't want to remove the PCB - so do I need to connect pins 9 and 15 together manually w/ 30awg wire?

This connection between pins 9 and 15 is NOT shown in the LPC Wire rebuild pictures on the install guide, so I am unclear as to why they are connected by a trace when using the PCB Rebuild. It appears both are for 3.3v.

It gives you a better chance of getting your 3.3v that's all

Since the trace is broken on the LPB PCB rebuild, is it okay to manually connect the two pins with a wire or will I blow something?

aslong as you get the 3.3v blue led on the chip to light up you don't need to connect them at all. If your not getting that led connect them with a piece of wire from the wire install your not using

Hey, thank you for explaining that, I am getting the 3.3v fine w/ the broken trace, and all is working, so I'll leave the trace alone.

swapping drives between consoles

Alright, I have a flashed BenQ drive here that is rrod. E20 code 0110. I have an extra hitachi console that works fine.

Can I put the benq drive into the hitachi console and just swap the boards between the drives and it work?

or do i have to use some software to do it

You need to take the dvd key from the hitachi drive and spoof it to the benq drive. Jungleflasher is the best program for this in my opinion. The latest j/f tutorial will explain how to go about doing it.
