So I got a clean lift on a 0225 Winbond chip but removed a trace underneath when trying to remove some epoxy. (I guess the epoxy was not hot enough so it lifted the trace).

Here a picture of what I'm dealing with:

Is this salvageable?

Doesn't look clean at all for me. What did you use to remove it with and what did you use to heat the epoxy?

What I meant is that all the pads for the pins were fine. It was only when I was removing the epoxy underneath where the chip was I lifted a trace.

I followed Ubers guide.

Looks like you killed it. Did you get the key off prior? Get yourself an unlocked PCB and load that on. Otherwise you have to get the cpukey from the nand

Yeah, I've got the key. But I mean, with the exception of the trace in the top right everything else is good right?

Hard to tell but from the picture you posted it looks to me like you over cooked it. That's why I asked you what equipment did you use.

If it was me personally I wouldn't waste working MT chip on that PCB just to find that's it dead. Either get a clean PCB and install the MT on or get an unlocked PCB.

i see alot of epoxy from pealing it off the chip other then the red part i circled and cleaning it up with some rubbing alcohol doesn't look that bad tbh

if you are talking trace in the red circle i made that is solder mask and that actually won't effect a thing if it was a bga it's be a whole different story but it's not it's and ic and should work fine though a clearer picture would help 100%

Maybe it was just the picture quality.

I obviously screwed up removing the epoxy under the chip but those traces didn't lift when I prised the chip away, only when I tried to remove the epoxy which I'm guessing wasn't hot enough.

I just wanted to know, besides the obvious mess underneath the chip if everyting else is ok.
