Phat demon in slim???

Evening boys n girls!

I havent picked up my soldering iron for a week now and im getting withdrawal symptoms!:crazy:

I have a slim sitting in my bedroom thats not glitched or demonised as i use it for sky go... but i do have spare a CR rev c and a phat demon.

I wanna put the phat demon in my slim, im pretty sure its possible. Judging by the step by step install guides by TX both phat/slim demon qsb points are labelled D0, D1, D2, D4 etc and CE, RE, RB etc. So i could just match up points do a wire install, right?

Before i updated my slim to the latest dash i did take a nand dump (14719). So i would take another dump of the nand (15574) and put it to one side, then use my 14719 dump to create ECC, right?

Never touched a Phat DemoN yet, but the points should be the same for installation however you would get a cleaner install with the right DemoN. For this you'll have wires everywhere underneath the boards.

With regards to the dash dumps and ecc creation you are correct.

Ur right i would definitely have a cleaner install with the right demon but its a challenge. Plus the phat demon i have has been used and not in its original box so selling it wouldnt be a great idea.

Not so long ago i would spend hours playing my xbox.... now i spend hours taking it apart! lol

Go for it then and share the photos, results with us please. If it wasn't installed I would have swapped it with you for a Slim one.

Instead of messing around with wires, why not see if somebody can swap their slim DemoN for your phat DemoN?

A wire install can be a real pain in the ass.

if not maybe ill kindly ask manwithoutname if he would take my phat demon in exchange with some cash for a slim version???

the length of the wires can cause issues with interference so might get intermittent problems with non boots and data issues.
