Phat Instant Glitch With Shielded Cable and alt point!

I've been testing the low loss shielded cable from XCONSOLES

When using the full 12" length and connecting to the top CPU_RST point im getting instant boots

So what motherboard revisions have you tested this out on so far? Just curious if its improved the troublesome Zephyr consoles much.

I'm sure its recommended for all consoles but I'm more curious about the Zephyrs.

At $0.75 to try it out I guess I have a troublesome zephyr I can test it out on!

I would like to see a install pic on a Slim, I just cant picture that thick cable on the Slim, with or without POST QSB.

Looks pretty thick from the images. However if it works why not. Been looking in the uk for this cable, but cant find them. Maybe flea bay may have some, basically is this coax cable (RG213)?

Looks like a coax cable. Will a single shielded 50 ohm cable help with adding some heatshrink wrap to.

I dont have a Zephyr atm

But you wont ever get instaboots with Zephyr - ever. This may improve it though ?

The console is sh*t at glitching - full stop. period.

i said it wasn't my picture and that it was just showing the layout.

the actual cable from xconsoles is very thin

What do you think about grounding the shield? I aim to give this a go Friday or at the weekend and shall give it a go both grounded and not. I suppose if its currently not grounded and glitch times are instant there's no improvement on that that can be made really anyway!

If anyone sources the cables in the UK please post back here with where you got it from, I haven't had much problems with glitching times for phats but would be handy to have in the arsenal for when such an occassion arises.

It's really not that thick. Yes easier to use the top point on phats but u can use the regular bottom one. It's really to your preference
