LITEON DG-16D2S Phat key failed

I am using probe 3 to extract the key from a phat liteon however after probing I power cycle I get this msg: "Phatkey failed"

my procedure is perfect I flashed about 100 drives and never seen this. do does anyone have a solution for this?

If you have done over 100 drives, have you checked to see if the probe is faulty?

Try extracting the key from another lite-on. If it works, look at the point on the troublesome one to see if is damaged or worn

Probe is fine. It is working with other drives

I connected the drive to JF its detected I press phat key > click yes> press and hold cable button> probe > release cable button> I get another prompt to power cycle > I turn off then On again > click ok> Extract failed

Probably unrelated, but you are using an older version of jf.

What are you using to power the drive? Is it a ck3 with a mode b switch?

this is only necessary if you are using a Capacitor probe

if you have a probe 3, do NOT wait 5 seconds

a simple push/release is the answer
