ANSWERED phat lite on prob w/ x360 usb pro

i was triing to flash a phat lite-on for a customer this morning and was running into a problem. i couldnt get the key. i was using ck mini to power and x360 usb pro for sata connection. i tried the po go tai whatever probing and also the tray half open trick cuz it reported as 83850c v1 but no luck. here is the log

Would it have helped if i used just sata connection from pc? i thought x360 usb pro was compatible with all drives? if anyone else has had similar problem and can help i would really appreciate it thanks

Are you using a probe v3?

That drive is updated (0251C), you will need a Probe 3/PMT to get the drive key.

Yea i used the ck3 probe. is this the same thing? or was i supposed to use the same probe that i used to do a slim lite-on?

could i use the same probe that i used to do a slim lite on. SPUTNIK360 - Liteon DG-16D4S DVD Unlock Probe i have successfully used this on a slim.

just curious if i can save the 7 bucks on the conversion cable? so how would i convert it? it says ck3 probe so i assume it is v1

No, they are two different devices.

The Sputnik Probe is for slim MXIC drives and a Probe 3/PMT is used with phat Lite-On drives.

You can convert your Probe v1.
