Hi, im not a complete noob when it comes to flashing ive done hundreds of phats and numerous slims, however a liteon 9 series is giving me problems. When i click phatkey, instead if it coming up saying probe point etc, it goes straight to 'phatkey extracted' giving me no time to probe, then after it says phat key failed. The probe isnt faulty ive done 3 or 4 today already with it, its just this drive that is having problems. as soon as i press phatkey it says extract complete even though its obviously not, im not sure what to do, has anyone ever come across this problem before? Any help would be great, cheers

It is a funny thing for one to crop up like that.
It has been known to extract the key straight away without the probe on a few drives. There are a couple of threads here about it.
The one thing I can say is, are you positive it is a liteon and not either another PCB within the shell or the top part of the shell has been changed by someone else's repair.
I have done it a couple of times where the top is faulty and just changed covers.

No 100% its a lite-on, i just tried doing another liteon worked fine, its just this drive wont let me probe or do anything it goes instantly to extract complete, is there another way to get the key (mra hack?). Also the console the drive is from is a new one sent from msoft as a replacement for broken one, could they have altered the drive so the key cannot be reached by normal methods?

This is a very strange one.... is it still a 93450C or does JungleFlasher report something else?

Are you using a CK3i to power the drive?
If so, try disabling Additional Functions (if it's enabled of course).

No using ck3 pro with probe v3 with x360usb like i said never had any problems with any drive before not even slims its just this one, the date on the back is 2012-01-03 dead recent could it be that theyve done something to prevent people getting at the key?

But the drive is dated from November 2010 so i dont know, yea the guy whose xbox it is said he sent his older one off as it was broke and he got this one back from them
