Yesterday i 'flashed' my 47dj hitachi drive using slax from textbooks tutorial. I followed every step and my xbox was in modeB. When i was done with flashing it said 100% done you can restart your pc, i think it was something like this.
Now that i plugged my xboxdrive back in the xbox360 i tried if my original games still work and they do. now i made a backup from my call of duty 2 game and after i had the iso + .dvd file i burnt them using cloneCD as the tutorial says.
i have this dvd burner which supports burning dvd+r DL media

also i used philips double layer DVD+R 8,5 gb media to burn.
now here comes my problem.
When i insert the disk xboxdashboards says reading, then it starts up with a black screen and after a few secods i get a message: Unrecognized disk The disk is unreadable.
1. clean the disk with a soft cloth.
2. restart the console.
Now i ejected the disk and put it back in and then again the black screen and the error message comes up again saying that the disk is unreadable BUT i see the game starting on the background. how can this be, also if i insert the dvd into my pc it recognizes it as xbox360.
I hope someone knows where my problem lies or what i am doing wrong, i think i might need to flash my drive again to see if i flashed it correctly the first time, the thing that bothers me then is that it does play this backup game but still it says that the disk is unreadable, and when i press ok it goes back to the dashboard after trying again the error pops up again but the game doesnt start, it only starts sometimes in the background. WEIRD.

ps. if i see the game playing in the background can i confirm that i flashed my drive correctly as it reads a copied
disk?
Then it might be the media i used to burn this was philips i've read and saw many people using verbatim, i might try them tommorow. first i have to be sure that i flashed it correctly
