hello guys,

Just got my self the Nand-x which looks so easy and simple to use, just wondering is the pin headers easier to install or the QSB. My soldering iron isnt the smallest tip in the world so i was thinking about using the pin headers. I have already jtagged a xbox using the Lpt method and solderd them which was painfully hard and annoying and took about 1 hour to read the nand :\ so thats why i bought this, also what tools will i need to install? i have solder, soldering iron, desoldering braid and a xbox :p do i need anything else? i heard some one saying that a scratch pen or something is need but what for?

thanks everybody

The pin headers I think are easier to install for the average guy. Alot of people seem to mess it up with the qsb's. The scratch pen is not needed for this, you have everything else that you need.

thanks alot mate, but i have a few more questins (sorry to bother you) can i drill a hole from the top of the case with the wires? or dont i need to do that. and my second question is that my friend has a jtaggable xbox 360 and we installed a lpt cable into it and managed to get 2 nand dumps off of it, but when we installed xell it simply got rrod so we installed all the cables again and manged to boot into xell but now i think the nand is messed up :s we installed freeboot with the jtag tool and we went to turn the xbox on and it had no power at all, so i was thinking...i have a rrod xbox with the same type motherboard, could i get the nand off the broken xbox and write it onto the jtagable one? with the nand x when i get it tomoro?

thanks

Not sure by what you mean with this. Do you mean drilling through the holes on the xbox motherboard?

No mate it doesnt work like that. The no power on at all seem like a bad freeboot image. Did you try and flash a original nand image back to see if it boots? Also you should read the original nand more than twice, it should be at least 3 and then compare them in nandcompare.
