pioneer 111d please help

hi there
i am new to this and have spent hours trying to fix my problem.
i have a pioneer 111d i have flashed it with 1.23fw but every time i try to burn a disk it burns to about 51%-52% then comes up with failed
used clonecd,imgburn ,dvd decrypter, all the same some people same use fw1.29 tryed same problem.
i have crossflashed it flashed it tryed changing boot type to dvd-rom in img,decry both say i cant tryed setting layers still nothing


please can some one help

where do you get the firware upgrade from??

i got it from 3 places .Dangerous Brothers ,The Firmware Page and from pioneer websit tryed a few flashed it to 1.06,1.19,1.23,1.29 also tryed crossflashing it to a 111L same problem

Upgrade your firmware to 1.29, also what media are you using?

Till you get a sucessful burn I suggest you stick to verbatim.
I also use mirrors but find they do not always work on Hitachi drives.

As said before in last post upgrade your firmware once you have done this also check booktype/bitsetting of drive.

with the pioneer i was told the bitset is auto and as for the book type try changing it would not let me that was with imgburn,what should the bitset be and what should the booktype say mine said dvd+r dl
what should i use to burn and

vivriley is correct, Pioneer drives auto-bitset to DVD-ROM, so he doesn't need to mess with that.

By the way, bitset and booktype mean the same thing. Bitset is the act of changing the booktype.

I really don't know what the problem is. I wish I could help more. Sorry.

Hi Text - the firmware is currently at 1.23.
1 thing i deffo noticed when I bought my drive it was set to this firmware. Using mirror DLs I was getting all coasters, after upgarding firmware to 1.29 now they work ok.
Do you think this is just luck, or have you heard any other stories like this.

hmm the file looks as though it has been downloaded did you change layer break

i changed it with imgburn but when i tried it with clonecd it would not let me do it,not sure if there is a way on clonecd.
i am waiting for some new dl disc hope they work will let you know

got new disc yesterday and so far it is looking good 1 out of 1 very happy
it turned out (i think )it was the disc so..
will let you all know it it starts crashing again
