1 more question...I've found a SH-D162C on ebay and the seller also has TS-H352C 's that say they do the same....

will the kreon firmware be the same or will I need a different ver of kreon?

the ones ive got have the firmware flashed.

TS-H352C is not in the xbc program so im not sure about it.
i know the sh-d162c works if the firmware is flashed.

The flash S/W that is needed for the Samsung SH-D162C DVD-Drive drive is Kreon .81. The easiest method is to look on ebay for one already flashed so you won't have to do it yourself. I just saw one with a 'buy it now' for $45. Just plug it in and go...not a bad deal at all I think.

Not a bit. Make sure that one is master and one is slave on the double IDE cable. I guess you could also set them both to CS (cable select) and let the PC sort it out for you if you wish.
