I think that info is hard coded into the install DLL's and stuff for security...

Man, if you want to steal winblows just go to a bit torrent site. If it takes you more then 10 seconds to find a torrent I'd be pretty suprised.

Get the XP Pro SP2 Corporate Edition and git r dun!

Just going to say the same thing.

You could also try using the Force and say {while waiving your hand} "You do not need to know my CD-Key and I do not need to activate my copy of windows online":D

no the cd works ok and installs and i dont need to activate :)

its just the person who igot it off put his compnay name in to the setup instructions and when i set it up i keep forgetting to delete his name, so it say registerd to.........., not a big problem just anoying. is it really hardcoded cus he must of put it in there microsoft certainly didnt. i just assummed it was some kind of script that the setup program follows with the user details included, so ther user doesnt have to put in all the information.

Do a search in the Registry for all instances of his name and change it. I use to do that with Laptops I would buy with Windows XP on them instead of reinstalling them.

do a google search for "ultimate slipstream guide" and scroll down about half way on the document.

In the corperate editions I have at work they were bought specifically for us and the registered name and such were hard coded in...
