Hi Everyone, First time poster...I am having trouble getting my lite-on 83850c drive to work after i updated it to LT 2, I get the Play DVD when I insert a disk.
I’ll try to run through the course of events.
About a year ago I flashed my xbox with the LT Touch 1.1 and it worked fine (here’s a copy of the Log) – Have all the Dummy.bin files key.bin files etc

Drive is Lite-On..
So like I said, all was fine. Later on I found out that my xbox was Jtaggable so I went ahead and jtagged it, in the process I managed to short out the motherboard and was unable to get it going and it had the RROD. As it was still in warranty I sent it back to M$ for repair under the 3 red lights fix which they did free of charge.
When I got the xbox back they had fixed it and updated the dashboard (to prevent me jtagging it again) but they left the drive alone so it still worked with my backups. Anyway to cut a long story a little shorter I had another jtag which I am still using, but I decided to get myself on Xbox LIVE with my old repaired xbox. As it had been in the box for nearly a year it needed updating when i hooked it all up to the internet. Stupidly I never returned it to stock FW so the drive got updated to the 0251 revision.
So I got hold of all the latest jungleflasher tools and firmware and dusted off my old backup keys and got out the CK3 Probe. I decided as the drive had been updated by the M$ update I’d better get a fresh copy of the keys....But try as I might I was unable to obtain them as using the methods described (Phat, tray half opon etc.)
So I checked all the bin files (including my old NAND and KV info) to make sure I had the right keys, drive etc and all looked good and matched. I therefore tried using the old dummy.bin file to flash the drive using jungleflasher 0.1.89 and this is where all my problems start.
The first thing that troubled me was the Drive Properties, all looked as it should with the exception of the DVD Key....it said ‘not found’ i thought oh well I have the key anyway in my dummy.bin file so flicked over to the firmware tool 32 tab, loaded up my dummy.bin file in the source and the Target was set to the new LTPlus-025-v2.0.bin, pressed the spoof source to target a few times checked the keys matched ( may have entered the key in the manual spoofing option, not 100% sure). Switched over to the MTK Flash 32 tab, hit the lite-on erase and followed the on screen advise regarding powering off and on using the CK3 Pro and it went into vendor mode and I hit the Write button and it seemed to work ok.
Here’s the log file:

Drive is Lite-On..

So I have tried flashing and reflashing using stock firmware old 83850c firmware but all results in the ‘Play DVD’ option when inserting a disk into the drive on my xbox. I’m not sure what to do next.

I hope one of you guru’s can help me revive this Xbox for the second time otherwise I’ll have to wait and try the Reset Glitch Hack.
If you need any files or more info then let me know, I’ve tried to give as much info as possible hence all the waffle.
Thanks in Advance....

are you sure that you are usein the right key for that console
I'm 99% sure, when i did the jtag I had a folder with the xbox serial number as the name and all the nand and kv info etc in it. The flashing details i have on my other computer (one i do my flashing on) in a folder with dummy.bin etc in....they all seem to match up.
Like I said I sen this to MS to repair, maybe they changed something? But the weird part is it still played backups so i can't see what they changed.
What are my options here? do the Reset Glitch Hack to get my key? if so what do i need?
I have a jtag kit (nandx)

if you dont get a fresh dump of the driver like dgenx says, you have to check the CPU-key to get the DVD key. maybe m$ changes the key of the console or chnge your console

did you get a fresh dump of drive after you got it back from m$.
I tried to do a fresh dump, but could not get the phat method or the drive half open method to work, so i used the stuff I had from the original flash i did.
Silly question, but when the new dash comes out in December, do you think it will flash the drive again and work?? Grasping as straws here...lol

Have you tried moving the laser? I could be way off but every now and again I have a customer email me after getting their drives back saying that it won't play anything, every single time Its fixed by moving the laser along the rail.
