play dvd on rgh slim

hi guys got a slim, 9504 drive that was knackered, sent the board to tea junkie and it was declared dead.

now have done the rgh on it, that works as should do.

i had a spare winbond board so have tried flashing it as a 9504 and 0272 in both stock and lt 3.0
it fails the last stage of verification and gives me play dvd, and this is with the correct key taken from xell and jrunner.

any ideas as i was under the impression this should work on a rgh without the dummy.bin?

You need to make sure you have the fcrt.bin disabled NAND side.

You can't properly re-build a slim drive firmware with only a drive key as far as I'm aware.

Have you tried changing the drive key in the Key Vault to match what is on the new drive?

There are methods out there Lizfix for one. For the 0272 drives.

blakey jump on msn buddy, good idea about changing kv info but jrunner seems to not be changing it?

did the disable frct thing and no different, drive will read xexmenu on disk no problem but wont play games,lol

j-runner is saying its patched, changing the kv info but when checking in flash 360 there isnt any change

I put a phat drive in a slim last week and ran into this issue.

J runner wouldn't disable the fcrt.bin for me.

In the end I used xebuild to write a new nand image and disable the fcrt.bin
Now it works fine

i dont think there is a frct on a 360 slim 4gb internal memory 9505/ 0272 drives

You can't alter kv due to hashing. You are going to need lizfix to build the firmware properly and use it as retail.

What you need to to if you haven't tried already get stock firmware for that drive then open JF do the normal open your dummy as source then load stock as target spoof key over wala it should work that's what i did when i had the same problem

sorted, used key from a doner board i had the dummy.bin for and patched the nand with the key and voila all working.
