Play DVD sometimes

Hello, I have a Xbox 360 Slim its flashed, and after the update when reverted to stock and then flashed back to lt 3.0, it sometimes says "Play DVD" when I put a disc in, and after a restart it works again? its firmware type is 1071, I don't really understand why this is happening? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Could also be a weakening laser

Its an UNLOCKED PCB, when the consoles been off for a while, and I turn it on it says play DVD, then I restart and it works fine, its abit strange? lol

I've got 2 here that do the same atm.
usually I find its either
- a bad kamikazi
- 0225 instead of 0225u or other way round
- or a bad laser

Bad laser m8, clean it properly and get a multimeter and do a pot tweak.

I've seen loadssssss like that, just replace the laser if its that bad £6.50 ish on ebay.

I'm inclined to agree with the others that it is a bad or weakening laser. There is a pretty good thread on it over here:
