playing a backup question

hey guys first of all I appreciate what this site and the experts in the field of modding are doing, I myself have modded many xbox' but never messed too much with the xbox 360, my 360 has been modded, the drive, my only question is this, does it matter how I backup my games? will any method work as long as its copied no matter which drive or firmware you used? I just backed up my GOW official game using wxripper and added the ss.bin with merger, do I need also the PFI or DMI file or did WXripper raw dump this data? I dont see a spot to add the DMI or PFI data anyways in merger, I've spent many hours on the forums reading but can't get a straight answer because threads stray into other subjects and can't never get my questions answered please help. thanks in advance

You don't need the PFI or DMI files, they are optional. They are for stealth media support, which isn't even supported by the Hitachi drive and isn't really necessary for the Samsung either.
