Hello,

I have an old (fat) Xbox360 console with flashed DVD drive. I did this like appr. 8 years ago. I still have the Xcuter hardware/tools here.
Can I play original games ("Tomb Raider" and "Rise of the Tomb Raider") on it or would the original game DVD install a xbox os/firmware update which would not allow backups to be played anymore in the future?

As far as I remember back then original game dvds contained updates, if your os version is too old for the game, resulting in a forced os update.

Current Xbox Software/Firmware Version: D:2.0.16756.0 - K:2.0.16756.0 (BK:2.0.1888.0)

Thanks

There was a firmware upgrade that updated the drive so it was abel to read XGD3 disk, iirc that was the 2.0.131XX.X , and since your on 16xxx.x you already have that update
So i would say you are safe to go on playing org disk games

What is if the game disk wants to update firmware? Can I allow it?
