Playing Original XBOX game son Hitachi Drive

Hey there, not sure if I read this but am I able to play original xbox games ripped as 360 in a hitachi drive running the garyopa latest firmware? Or is it just Sammys currently?

You can play original xbox games assuming they are burned to DL media and are backed up with the same method as 360 games (ss, etc...).

Thanks Caster, just wanted to make sure as I tried to play a backup copy of Halo 2 and got error messag stating : X: 5014.0 B:1884.0 .
Any ideas as to what this may be?

How did you make the backup
The only methods for it now are using XBC or The hotswap method. if you made your copy on a single layer dvd it will never work with the hitachi.(until they have a new firmware that supports it)

if you dont have a harddrive it will tell you that you need one.

Edited by X5confirmed it is working. I burned it on Verbatim DL media with Clone CD at 2-2.4x I do have the hard drive as well. Could this be something to do with the backwards compatabiltiy? Should I update that? Have never had any issues with 360 backups, this however puzzled me...

Read the rules....Don't talk of illegal copies, downloads, including getting the image from a friend only make backups of games you own.
