Hmm, I just got CDRwin and went to The Data CD option. Asked it to make me an image, but came out in the incorrect format, cant seem to find out how it works. Didnt see any manuals for it either. Could you help me out here and elaborate on that CDRWin method, Martin?

1. Insert Playstation game into PC.
2. Open CDRWin.
3. Select 'Extract track/disk/sectors'.
4. Select drive with Playstation game.
5. Leave ALL options default.
6. You should see a GREEN disk - all Playstation games are in CDROM-XA format.
7. Type in a filename you want it saved as. Ignore the file extension.
8. Click Start. Once finished you'll have a BIN and CUE file of the name and location previously specified.

Note:

a. This is how ALL PS games were once backed up - there are still guides on the net for this.
b. I haven't touched this software in about 5 years and only installed it for this purpose. You shouldn't need to play with any settings and the newest version (even demo) will do the job. I just did a BIN / CUE of my original PS copy of Crash Bandicoot using the steps above, so I know it works.

Forgive me if I am doign something wrong, but do I have a different version of the program here? Heres a pic of the menu and it doesnt follow up your steps. Check out this pic of the menu and tell me what I'm doing wrong, and if it is somehow the wrong program, could you provide a link to the program? I googled CDRWin and found this.

Ah - That is not the same package. I'm surprised they are allowed to sell software with the same name.

get it from www.goldenhawk.com - the latest version (here) is 3.9K. It was released Feb 23, 2005.

Link is here.

Once you've installed this (the *proper* version), it'll all become clear. It's icon-based, so move the mouse over them to see each category. The one you want is the top-middle icon!

"Samsung "CD-R/RW SW-248B"

This is in the supported devices list for CDRWin. Download the latest version and install. You should be able to pick it from the dropdown list.

If I wanted to put the files onto a CD would it require me to make it an ISO? Also do I need both the BIN and the CUE files?
