I just tried to install a coolrunner on my slim 360 and i accidently pulled the pad from point B from the motherboard, and now my xbox will not start up.

Is there any alt pints to repair this?

Please help :(

Many guys will show up with this problem, this point is tricky, and if the iron is too hot it will lift the pad.

This fix is for Phat, but the procedure is the same, the only difference is that the trace is much shorter on the Slim. I've done this fix on a Phat and it is a little bit hard. If you managed to screw the pad, as Martin C says, get someone to do this for you.

The final result will be something like this, the problem is that on slim this might be trickier since the trace is much shorter.

Run a wire from the left hand side of the 34ohm resistor (as per diagram above) and connect it to FT3N2 on the other side of the board (almost directly opposite where you lifted the pad).

Also, for some reason, power wasn't getting to the chip from the pads, so had to give it power via the pins on the other side.

I'd also like to take this opportunity to say HA! and "SCREW" YOU! to seanr28 for trying to muscle in after I had already offered my services to 360xobox. It's just not cricket mate. ;)

Just Want to say A Big Thank you to Darkfib3r for the fix, i took it to him this morning and he Bridged the connection for me and fixed the issue, But we had another problem with the Coolrunner which was not getting any power so as you can see from the pics that Darkfib3r posted we had to get the pwoer from the programming side to get the Coolrunner to run after that it booted up perfect running Xell.

Thanks again for the time solving this Darkfib3r :)

I don't think it's good forum etiquette to try and snipe somebody's business, after a transaction is clearly taking place. I personally wouldn't do that to somebody else.

Maybe it came across a bit harsh, it's just the way I speak. (keeps getting me in bother, that)

But hey, no hard feelings. Glad I was able to sort it for 360xobox, he's a good bloke. Was nice to meet you mate. :)

I am sure that the upcoming qsb is going to make this procedure much easier, but can someone explain how do you know where to place EXACTLY the qsb? I mean the point where the B cable has to be soldered is tiny, how can you see if you placed the qsb there right?

I have already seen that and also the tutorial for the PHAT. I just want to know how can someone align the QSB correctly... Come on, my english ain't my native language, how can I further explain?? phewwww
Once you have the bigger points lined up correctly, it should take care of itself.

Get a magnifying glass so that you have a closer look.

Make sure you have lots of light, use a lamp if your room isn't bright enough.

Get the smallest tip for your soldering iron as possible.
