Please explain LAD functions...

What is the function of the four LAD points on the xbox and X3 boards? Are the data lines?

I see from the guide that they should read 3.3 volts. But if I hook my scope up to them what should the signals look like?

When they are improperly connected what problems do they cause?

The LAD and D0 points togeather make up the LPC port. LPC is an Intel spec also used in PC's. You can find technical details here:

just a heads up

with the launch of fable III Microsoft have released a new check(AP25) on their games to disable your 360 to launch copied games so far this check is only on fable III but will be included in 99% of games released after 1/11/2010

however this check is only applied if you have updated to the latest dashboard version(those updates you get when you turn your 360 on) Dashboard: 2.0.12607.0 so far this update is only a beta but will be released shortly (this is what it looks like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d2a6KBGc0Uo ). so if you could avoid going on-line until the latest update for flash 360 is released which is LT+ it would be of benefit to you

The new dashboard update aint the beta version though its the full version if im not mistaken.

This seems to ONLY be true on certain drives and the LT firmware.

only game that has AP2.5 is Fable III atm.. so i m guessing you can be save with the others games like forced unleashed 2 which was released at the same time
