Dear friends I hope you can help me. For reference I state that I have already modded a crystal xbox with the x3 & lpc rebuild kit and all went well, however this is another box with the 2.6 instead so I know pretty well what I'm doing, just having a little problem now, I hope someone can help me!
It's a v1.6 xbox and the install went just fine - even the lpc rebuild wasn't too tough. I did a few tests with the mod enabled and disabled -> No fragging or any signs of any problems.
So I happily go into flashbios 3.0.1 and there's the joypad problem -> so I come back here and read the sticky at the top of this forum and solve the problem by simply using another controller -> no problems.
The flash goes just fine, but then when I boot up the box again I'm greeted by a nice fat frag.
So I figure I must have flashed a bad bios ... ? I downloaded the xecuter2 build 4977 bios and made it into a 1mb bios.bin file ... Was this the wrong bios? Well, I suppose the results speak for themselves. I can happily boot with the chip disabled, but I cannot boot with it enabled, it just reboots a few times without displaying anything, then just frags.
So I guess therefore my question is this: Can I resurrect this chip? And where did I go wrong? Which bios should I use?
