Update, I have put the case back on and the overheating problem has halted. Unfortunately, I turned on the box and let it sit for half an hour and it will not boot. I have one green light and a black screen.

I think the problem may have something to do with my Zephyr Board. Have you ever heard of anything like this?

Any more tips?

Thanks

Are some dashboards not exploitable? What does CB stand for? How can I tell which version I have?

Yea, probably a dumb question.

Thanks

Update, after numerous attempts I do believe I got into a hacked dashboard. What worked for me was using Multi Builder V 0.3 and I had to select the non default CB. I also selected to apply dashboard patches.

So, I think I am done! I hope so anyways. I wonder now if there is a way to confirm it is working correctly and what new abilities I have?

Thanks

Congratulations on being able to get in. I think I may try to go through and re-do my Zephyr to see if I can eventually get it working. If it is up and running you should be able to install XeXMenu and Freestyle Dash for examples.

Does it boot consistently and what are your boot times?

Yes, so far it boots consistently and boot time is about 10 seconds or so on average. Unfortunately while I was doing this I turned the system on without the fan cover on and it got really hot and gave me two red lights. Now, it seems to be working but the fans seem to be at full speed and it is very loud.

I wonder if I can fix this...

Good luck to you with your Zephyr!

I just did my Zephyr to unflag and when using mufti builder I had to select the non default image because I was also getting a black screen. seems to be a pattern.:rolleyes2:

Your fans are running quicker because the freeboot image built by multibuilder turns the fan speed up bu default. Once you get going and install freestyle dash you can turn the fans down or you can edit the option in multibuilder (it's in one of the threads, I can't recall off hand myself) To check you have installed freeboot properly, burn xexmenu to cd and launch game from dvd drive. If it boots you're all done and just find a good guide to setup your jtag. I know it's an rgh but once we're installed it's the same process
