Well yesterday I finished installing my NAND-X Quick Solder Boards and I agree that it looks quite messy so I am about 99% sure that is why Jtag Tool is giving me the could not detect flash controller error. I was wondering if any of you pros out there could please tell me exactly where you think the error is coming from and exactly which point to re-solder? (pictures of QSB's at the bottom) Or do you think it looks so messy I should De-solder it and just use the pin headers? And if you think I should just use the pin headers, I was wondering what the tutorials mean by cutting off the pin header block.

Thanks :)

too much Solder!!!!! and all the points are suppose to be separate, but you connect them all together with solder!!
I would say desolder and try again

WTF??? haha yeah way to much solder, like each points should be separate. Not just a big solderclusher****. Take it down to single points and you should be fine.

also try using flux. for me it helps the solder ball in the right spot better. all you need is a little solder

Desolder all of it. Use about 70% less solder when you redo it and use flux.
Take the solder off with a braid preferbly or a sucker.
If I were you id stay away from cutting the pin headers off as you'll have to solder the wires directly to the board which will require more skill than the qsb's.

Ok srry for bringing up a very old thread but i was on the last part of soldering for the Nand-X and i bridged 2 points and i cannot get the solder off should i turn up to 40W on the IRON and desolder with desoldering braid because i cant get the solder off with a 20W?
