Hello everyone, Just wanted to say I love this site. Very helpful. I have hit a snag and now I AM officially stumped.
Ok I have a TS-H943A F/W ms25 Drive, I was wanting to flash it with the firmware Xtreme52a. So I went through all the motions, followed everything in the textbook step by step. I got the Drive to take the flash, but when I connect it to the 360 main board, the 4th light keeps flashing red and says error 66, So I figure it was just a bad flash. So I use the 0800 disc and get it back to the original firmware. I don't get any errors there, but when I put an original copy of a 360 game in, it shoots up an error and says "If you want to play this disc insert it into an xbox 360" I do have my original firmware and I copied my Key out of it about 20 times. lol. I have flashed a lot of things before like DVD drives, etc etc. But this has me stumped. I really would like some help. I apologize to you all ahead of time I am sure you get this stuff a lot, Although I did not find any threads pertaining to my exact situation.
About my Flash.
I used the NTFSDOS disc, but it threw up an error and said something like "Trash the batch" or along those lines... And I am familiar with MTKFLASH..So I tried that off from a new floppy disc, The disc did fine and everything, didn't die out or nothing and it appeared to be taking the flash properly. I also used Maximus firmware toolbox to replace the key in the firmware with my original key before I flashed.
My main board is an MSI K7N2 DELTA2-LSR It is on the compatibility sheet. I am using the Nforce drivers although, I figured if it was a driver problem it wouldn't even take the flash.
My hard drive that I was using NTFSDOS on is a 160g. Western Digital.
So anyways, I sure would appreciate some ideas on this. Thanks a lot guys..
