Please help

I had my x3 working great. then it started fraging - flashing red and green- what could have happend? i thought this thing stored a backup of its origanal bios but get get it to let me flash it. now i dont get any lights on the switch either like lan or hdd.... it worked great for a couple of weeks.

I'd say definitely recheck the soldering? Did you solder it? Have you soldered before? It may be you've developed a dry joint.

Remove the chip and boot the Xbox - does it work?

Ya i'd have to say its the soldering to.

if i just take out the chip should it boot or do i need to remove the soldering?

i did solder it and it was a pain in the ass 1.6 version.

I'd get someone who can solder modchips to look at it for you. If you cannot solder then you may cause more harm than good..
