Make sure all your lpc pin points are level with each other and also that the lpc is soldered perfect with solder all around the pins covering the points to make a good connection. Most likely it is your lpc points, also if you used flux make sure everything is clean as a whistle.

Same thing happened to me! I did a little website surfing and was about to order some transistors that sometimes blow apparently.

I went to another website and they said it was probably the power cable to your xbox. Low and behold I switched power cords and away it went! Chip still doesn't work but I have power again. Apperantly there is a capacitor in the power cord that burns out if you have a power surge.

Give that a whirl, hope it helps

Play dvd error question?

hope someone can answer this.
liteon drive, previously flashed by previous owner.
has "play dvd error"
i tried these remedies with no luck:
1.) q-tip and alcohol
2.) pot tweaking
3.) rubber band trick

should i try a reflash with a different FW to see if it will fix the error?
is the lens dead? should i replace the lens or drive?
or is there another fix out there that i should try?
or maybe spoof another drive to work with the motherboard?

Thanks
