Any chance you can take some photos of the solder job on the LPC to give us a clue? I really do suspect its soldering orientated possibly try resoldering individual points rather than fully desoldering first if you're not confident (resolder the points that dont look as good as others).

Desolder what you have done would be my first suggestion.

A couple of details I'd like as I thought it would be a good time to read through your post again.

Is the 1.6 Motherboard you're fitting going into a 1.6 xbox because I believe there are differences in the PSU between the 1.6 and previous versions?

When the person did the LPC header install did he rebuild the LPC?

Are you absolutely 100% positive you've soldered the HDD and LAN to the correct points?

I'm sorry if none of this helps but I'm sure having as much info as possible will help others to help you.

persistance and patience are the keys to the art of executer installation!
i learned this the hard way. i also learned that no matter how good a solder is, it can go bad and stop working after hours, days or even weeks!

agreed nutsak...the only thing i can think to add to all that's been said is this...I've been doing this for years, and have recently successfully chipped 300 xboxes with xenium ice chips for a pre-mod xbox retailer (of course for my own box it's xecuter or nothing)...point being...I don't care how good you think you are, How much experience you've had, or if you're bunnie himself...when you attempt to get an xbox to do what M$ specifically did not want done to it...you must be fully prepared mentally...to ruin your xbox...that's not to say that knowledge, experience, and a steady hand aren't musts...rather to inform anyone who might be considering chipping they're first or thousandth box...that this is what i consider a black art...one that may cost you a box or two to learn is all...there's my 2 cents

Unban Xbox with with other xbox key.... help

Long story short,
I have a sammy that took a crap that was not banned and I want to move that key to a hitachi that is banned. Ive done some research and have gathered that I can move the CPU and drive key over to the Hitachi to get it back online. I have found very little tutorial wise on how to do this. Can you guys help me and/or point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance!!

Re: Unban Xbox with with other xbox key.... help

you will need the CPU key from the old "took a crap" xbox360 motherboard

this will entail JTAGging the xbox which is only possible with an old motherboard, also the xbox has to be in working order in order to retrieve the CPU key

this CPU key will then allow you to decrypt the NAND which will let you extract the key vault from the motherboard

then you put that key vault in the NAND of the other xbox, which will unban the other xbox

good luck haha
