plexiglass?

ok i used my schools mill to chop hole into my xbox and all and now i need to find out whats the best type of plexiglas to use. i was thinking of colored plexiglas and when i told my teacher that something else would look beter then plexiglass. he mentioned the name and all but he didnt know the whole name. it was something like lumin-something or something-lumia, or i dont know. all he told me was that it looks realy awsome with leds lights. he said that when the light from the led hit it, it lights up really bright. if anyone knows the name to this plastic, or whatever it is i would really like it if you could tell me.

I just get 1.8th inch clear plexi from Home Depot, not terribly expensive and then you can use lights to do the coloring, not only are you not committed to a single color scheme, but it's probably cheaper and easier to find.

If you want to move beyond the stuff they have at your local home improvement store, US Plastic is the online place to look. Here is the catalog page that shows the sort of stuff you COULD potentially use.

If you do go with the stuff at the local Home Depot (or whatever), and all yo find is clear, consider buffing the crap out of the plexi until the surface has an opaque appearance, and then backlight.
