So, I was following Fiber's tutorial without issue until I soldered the Coolrunner to my falcon.

When I turned on with everything connected I kept getting a solid red light on the CR and my hdmi input was not detected on my tv.

As I read through the forums I suspected my wiring on the PLL_BYPASS.

After attempting to fix this, I tried the alternate PLL_BYPASS but, the SMT resistor( I believe) has now come off.

Have a look at my attached image.
The point circled in yellow is a good solder point, but the two in red rectangles are not.

What to do ?

Lifted the original pad, and the resistor, but the point in yellow is still a good solder point. Would I be able to add a resistor and attach my wire still ?

I'll attempt this. I'm not too worried about the xbox since it's banned and I don't use it much anyways. I have another one which won't be touched.

If I solder on another alt point, won't I need to still add the other component back ?

I've got spares, not SMT resistors though.
What is it's value ?

I guess if its a through hole resistor, I'll solder it on and then wrap it in shrink tubing.

So under the heat sinks I would solder my green wire on the opposite side of the board. Can I trim the length of the green wire ?

Where in the circuit would I solder back the 10k resistor ?

Ok, so let me try to make sure I understand.

I've removed the heat sinks and see the trace. I've scraped off and can see a pad to solder on.

my circuit will look like this now.

Yellow Pad from my original diagram-> 10k Resistor -> new pad under heatsink -> Cool Runner

Two wires will be soldered to the new trace point.

Thats what I was thinking as well. I will solder a small wire on the new pad. Run it out from under the heat sinks and then solder up the rest.

Boys.
Good news.

It's working like a champ!!!

I had the same issue after I booted though.
I saw in another forum that they needed to plug the nand-x to coolrunner in when they powered. After I did that. I power cycled the xbox and now have the xell reloaded screen.

Thanks for the help!!
