Hi
Just installed the x3 with the xapt3r and works ok,
got to the point where i flash the bios, thought id better read up on this as this seems like it can go very wrong very quick so done some reading and thought dont seem to bad,

well to my shock create the bios dvd (x3 3029) go to flash it (on on off off off) went through all this lot ok went to turn on the system after flash and it just turned off, so i scracth my head for a bit wondering whats going on and then decide to flash again on another bank (off off on on off) and damm it, it does it again.

now my question is i have just loaded to my back up rom and want to get the flash bios back to original settings how do i go about that with out damaging my back up rom

thanks in advance for any help.

you haven't touched your backup bios yet. Did you use X3 3029.bin or X3 3029 v16plus.bin to flash? What method of flash did you use and your xbox version is 1.1? Third, your second switch setting was way off. It should have been off on off off off.

regarding your ? set your switches to on on off off off or off on off off off and then press power + eject to get to backup and flash.

i used the x3 3029.bin and flashed via dvd-r (ritech g05), ok thanks for the quick reply.
i have now booted to the back up rom so if i set switchs to on on off off off then jsut flash with the same bios as before the x3 3029.bin (obviously renaming to bios.bin) it should go through ok with out affecting the back up?

PS and yes by box is a 1.1
