If you dont know what Im talking about visit this thread here

http://xbox.bula.nu/resistor_install_1.6.asp

and here

http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=305938&st=0

The issue @ hand the X3 Holds the lframe low. This could be bad.

The good...this could maybe be fixed with a bios update...It was supposed to happen in 2913 but it didnt.

What Xecuter has said:

We'll find a work around for this disable bullshit - and also in the meantime we will make an updated rebuild pcb just to curb the paranoia. the extra cost to us is about 0.05c so its hardly a big deal.
He also said if the users want this board we will build it. Located here
http://www.teamxecuter.com/forums/showpost.php?p=88513&postcount=39

So I created a poll to see how many people are concerned about this and would liek to see a fix.

I certainly would like this issue addressed with the BIOS and NOT using a new lpc rebuild board.

I would also like the LFRAME/D0 problem to be fixed with a BIOS update that would be 100X easier (for me anyway). Just my 2 cents

I would personally would find a way to mess something up during the desoldering/ soldering of my lpc rebuid if I were to try to install a lpc rebuild board, but thats just me.

again. how many are borke? why risk phucking your xbox up to fix something that probabally isn't broken to begin with. if there is a software fix (next bios build possibly) then why desolder and resolder. it would be a good idea to make new rebuild PCB's for the paranoid types out there as xecuter said it would be very cheap to do. but that would be good for new installs. software fix for current installs.

I know that TX said that a BIOS fix is possible to correct the problem, but how probable is it that one is likely to come out. Im not bashing TX i know that they are working on it and if they can will fix it. but a software fix to correct the LFRAME/ D0 hasnt been done before.

mircisthe, I think it is possilble with the X3 because it uses some of the LPC that other chips do not (IC2?). I'm probably 200% wrong, but worth a shot.

I'm not sure of this, but wouldn't a new LPC rebuild fix be more stable?

What I mean is that there is a possibility of fixing the problem in this next BIOS release, but reintroducing the problem two bios versions later with the addition of some new feature.

My humble theory is... once you change to a new LPC it's done. Good bios, bad bios, or buggy bios the fix is permanent. Just a thought. :D

great thinking my man...much like the corrupt saved games in build 1753 or what ever it was they fixed it in 1959 and now its present again in 2913. Also what if you dont want to run the latest bios or an x3 bios? A hardware solution is truely the only answer.

This new board should also be incuded with the x3 as an option or for new installs. I personally used the wire rebuild on mine. And this new board would be awesome. And wouldnt be an issue.

we should get someone to point us to posts that explain executers opinionj on whether this is even necessary.
