I have another question... If the X3 BIOS can address this issue, can they make an X2 BIOS to deal with the same?
A lot of 1.6 xbox's out there have the 2.6 chips. (Not me, but I install chips, so it would be nice.)

Who isn't confused by this issue?

I'm of honest oppinion it's just a witch hunting excercise incited by a few parasites that stalk the xbox-scene forums. Instinct and my limited electrical knowledge leads me to believe it's not really an issue. However I'm not an electrical engineer so I'll have to rely on the word of others more experienced than me, and certainly as I said if I'm to trust any one source it'd be TeamX who have a proven track record in the XBox scene.

quit bumping this pointless ridiculous thread.
Pointless... thats why people are still voting on it? thats why team x is concerned about what the users want because its useless. Personally posting useless flames is hellping this useless thread be on top. The poll ends tonight so you wont have to worry about it.

then Xecuter will rls the next build with a software fix for your "problem" and you will find something else to bitch and cry about right?
then you will demand a new rebuild board immediatly. then you will be here crying because you ****ed up your mobo trying to desolder and resolder a new rebuild board in.

I have to agree that desoldering and resoldering the rebuild PCB will do more harm to the LPC on your xbox than this "problem" will ever do. Its scaremongering is this topic and whats more in a few weeks the "problem" will no longer exist. I have a 1.6 and this doesn't bother me in the least, if it was such an issue then I'm sure 4 months into owning 1.6/b there would have been a lot of dead xboxs by now. If you are really worried about this just do the resistor mod and let the issue run its course. If Xecuter can't fix this in the bios for some reason then start your campaign to get the rebuild board changed for future installers.

I'm sorry to everyone for actually bothering to post in this thread and much of what I said as been already mentioned.

no I dont have any compaints with there products except this one and Im sure it was an oversight in design it happens. And No I wont cry about anything. And I dam sure wont cry about fuxking up my mobo. As I didnt use a rebuild board in the first place. I only need to remove 4 peices of kynar...not really seeing that as a problem. I thinking that if I can mangage to drop 128 MEGS on a 1.0 and it work then I know I can solder and desolder pretty much anything involving my box...oh and thanks for bupping a useless thread again.

unitll it's actually proven that this will limit the xbox's life from first power-up to X number of months/years it won't bother me any. In 2-4 years time hardly anyone will still use an xbox cause everybody will have an xbox2 anyways.

agree.. the though of soldering again on the board is ridiculous.

moreover the resistor fix really doesnt send me as being all that much effective; current is still flowwing albeit less. the only acceptable fix is to turn it off by releasing do from ground. hopefully the next bos will do this.

Have you guys seen this? It says it is compatible w/the X3 and ANY Xbox version. Anyone know if it also address the v1.6 LFRAME issue?

"We are proud to announce the launch of our new, truly universal solder less adaptor the Xodus S. P. (Solderless Pro) adaptor. S.P. is the first (and only) truly universal adaptor designed to work on ALL currently existing Xbox versions and with all LPC based chips. Which support the Xodus protocol of wiring D0 control to pin 4 of the LPC. (All 4th Gen chips except earlier SmartXX versions) "

It appears it does not.
