I keep getting this error when trying to flash a samsung ms25.

Im using a msi mn8 diamond with the nf4 chipset and dont know what im donig wrong. Ive done everything correct and rechecked for hours but it still seems to be nogglnig me... Its when I plug the sata cable in then type samread (serial number) and press enter i get it. Can anyone tell me what sort of problem could cause this?

They're disabled.

Would have thought my chipset would have been able to suport it, considering it isnt that old..

Unplug all other drives. Or redo Xtreme Boot Maker with Boke's patch. I don't think your Samsung drive is being recognized , but some other drive is - and it is trying to dump that drive's firmware automatically. So either unplug all other drives or use Boke's patch.

Ive tried unplugging all drives, I only have my hard drive(sata) and the cd drive which reads the ntfs4dos disk which is IDE.

Can I use bokes patch for the ms25?

Ok.. I disconnected all my drives except for the 360 which i connected when promted to type in m y samread command.
Note im running from a flashpen here since I also d/c my hard drive. im not too sure but is it actually doing something here? Or is it still not reconising my drive? I think i may just have to purchase one of these...

Yeah, exactly what I said - No Drive Detected.

Did you hexedit mtkflash and select the NForce4 Serial ATA controller from the drop-down list in Xtreme Boot Maker ?

ok... ive purchased a VIA 6421 card and now it connects but locks my keyboard up so im unable to press 1 at this point... this is doing it via the flash disk method.

im also putting the sata cable in after both systems are powered up.

When i try it with the ntfs4dos disk I can actually type at that part but when i select xtreme it now gives me a port:df00, master/slave: a0

it apears to be always stopping at 1%... Im not sure if its the samread thats corupt or if its to do with my mtkflash... I use xtreme boot maker to hexedit my mtkflash and it only apeasr to get to the stage above if I dont overwrite samread with the updated.

when making a bootable floppy make sure the floppy is new. If all else fails, use a friends computer so you can use a usb drive.

forgot to post... after all else failed i just thought "f*** it" and found a floppy and formated it.used that to success so now ill have to either get a new floppy for future use or find a flash pen that works, if infact it was that as to why my keyboard was locknig up when connecting to it.
