Possible bad ribbon cable or EXT USB module

I recently completed my first demon install and I believe there is a chance that my ribbon cable leading to the EXT USB module is bad or the module itself is bad. Before anyone says to check if the cable is in the EXT USB module the right way I know it has to have the blue tab facing towards the module. I've seen the blue LED partially light up two or three times for a couple seconds but now I can't even get it to partially light up. Naturally the USB port and switch don't work. I've straightened the cable out and fiddled around with it to no avail.

My Demon is set to XB and my Coolrunner is set to NOR.

I used the micro USB port to test the Demon out of the box and it was fine and I don't believe my soldering is the issue. I uploaded pictures of my demon install so someone can double check though. If needed I can also upload pictures of my Coolrunner install, but I believe that's fine. I also am able to boot the console no problem when I use the Sync button to switch over to the Xbox NAND.

I used a multimeter to check all the wires and everything seems to be getting constant and proper voltages. However I started testing the two ribbon cable ports on the demon and the two ribbon cables (both blue tabs facing away from the Demon) and found out that the port and cable going to the Coolrunner give out power but only the port going to the EXT USB module gives out power, the ribbon cable won't carry power and I tested it with both ends of the cable in the port.

Long story short if anyone could help me figure out why the EXT USB module isn't working I'd really appreciate it. If anyone needs more information or pictures just let me know, I probably forgot to include something anyways.

You need better pictures, I can only make out 1-2 of them.

What I can tell is that the main Demon ground doesn't look good.

With the cable test each point for continuity, also sometimes it works better if you try it the other way around. One end of the cable works better at demon side than the other on a few I've installed. You could also just bend the contacts a little so they make better contact in the connector.

I resoldered the ground wire for the demon and a few of the more spotty looking ones but the module still wasn't working. I kept messing with the ribbon cable and finally got it working solidly. I'm just did my first pair of nand dumps from the Xbox and they matched so I believe this thread can be closed.
