i really don't know what this problem could be so i starting with the bios, but basically i had a 120GB with a x2.3pro. worked great but i got greedy and put in a maxtor 300GB PATA(also wondering if the PATA us and issue here).
the format went fine. i used an evox disk with an [evo-x M8 v1.0-1.5 LBA48] bios. after the format the g: drive was disabled and my F: drive was 294GB. so i assumed it worked. so i ftp everything on, lock the drive and go to enjoy some freshly uploaded tunez only to find nothing loads. every game and program freezes at the loading screen.

little help please i've read and tried everything i can think of.

thanks

i've now tried formatting the drive numerious times trying to enable the G: drive and it won't work. it is saying enabled in the settings but the F: drive is still sitting at 292GB and G: is 0GB and still i can not get one program or game to load.

wondering if any one has ever heard of a HDD that seems to function but will not load anything.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that you haven't gotten a response because this is the X2 Config Live BIOS forum, and you are asking a question about the EvolutionX BIOS.

Kind of like going to the Windows Tech Support and asking questions about running Linux. Same hardware, but different software, and different support.

Maybe look for an EvolutionX forum. Or at least a more generic forum.

Alternatively, you could try flashing the X2 CL BIOS and see if that works. If it doesn't and you come back with "I'm using the latest X2CL and my 300 GB drive isn't doing what I think it should" you might get a better response.
