I recently installed a 2.6ce chip into a version 1.0 box. When I tried booting the fan cycled up real fast and the eject light flashed amber. Nothing on the screen.
No matter what bank I selected it wouldnt boot from the chip. Nor would I get the blue led to light up.
I am by no means a noob to the proper installation and have close to a hundred successful installs.
I even tried to use my external programmer and X2 Bios Manager v2.3 doesnt recognize a chip being present, even though the lights on the external switch are all in their correct posistions.
Can it just be a dud?
