Sent out a falcon to be modded, got it back and on day 1 I installed FSD, I didn't read what I was saying yes to so some of the settings were messed up (I was following the directions of the modder and I did the same thing with the slim I had him mod that one is thankfully doing just fine after reinstalling FSD.)

Day 2, I turn on the 360 and it won't boot, it keeps starting and turning off. I let it sit for a few hours unplugged and I get it to boot, I play around inside FSD to see if there is a problem, nothing seems wrong so I pop in the xexmenu disc and the console freezes. Now when i turn it on it just sits there.

The guy who modded the console says it is an RROD and that because of the RGH the ring won't light up.

Is this just bad luck? Is there another way to check for errors? I'm lost right now.

~ Thanks in advance.

No Xell.

Yeah I have a cd with my stuff.

I have admittedly not taken it apart yet so there could be something visibly wrong.

Took the HDD off and no love.

Basically as it sits it turns on, I can hear the fans kind go up and down every once in a while and on most boots I can only see the red led but every few boots I see the green one flash for a second and go off.

Thanks for the help +1 for everybody.

i would try to move the wires to look like this as much as you can be careful not the break the solider

the green & yellow wires is all you will be able to make look like this the blue on the top side try to keep it away from the coils

Well I took it to be reflowed today since the modder who did my RGH was insistent that was the problem and beyond the RROD guy saying right off the bat that wasn't the issue the box still doesn't work after a reflow.

Anybody have any other ideas about what the issue could be? I tried to position the wires as displayed and that doesn't make a difference.

Basically right now if I let the box sit for a while unplugged it will either freeze at the xbox splash screen or if it makes it to the dash it will freeze there.

Im just trying to think outside the box here but you said you just pressed yes to everything in when asking about the settings. Is this the DashLaunch settings? As isnt one of those settings asking if you want the console to freeze on crashes? As in my settings I chose No for freeze on crashes and yes to restart on crashes. Now if thats the case it could be a matter of letting your xbox rest so that you can get it to start then run dashlaunch install again and change the settings.

May not help but thats just what popped in my head.

To be honest, the soldering job looks really sh*tty and he used too much flux.... not to mention the wires are not even laid out nicely/professionally. I hope you got this done for cheap cos the work looks terrible.

Look at the PLL_Bypass (green wire), the tail is too long and it might even be touching another contact point.

I was gonna comment on that too. If that's what a box looks like from someone who charges to install, maybe I should get into the business.... Ha!
