Just sharing my smc-configs here. Both of these have worked very well when glitching falcon rgh 2.0's.

Give it a try and post your feedback for possible development purposes.

Why make two threads on this.......

Sent from my SGH-I777 using Tapatalk 2

To make it easier for people to get the files. The other thread was more for wiring etc. If there was an upload section to donate files that would be good but since theres not, i am doing my bit here to share some files.

I fail to see how a "different" SMC Config will stop your console freezing.

Can somebody explain what all of this is about?
RGH2 Falcons seem to struggle at times, from erratic freezing to not booting at all.

Strangely, the SMC Config (or changing it to use one from another console) can solve the issue.

To test if your RGH2 Falcon is needing a donor SMC, boot to XeLL and try to load XMPlayer from a USB stick. If it freezes during load, try to build with another SMC Config.

I had a falcon rgh2 that was all over the place with unreliable random booting (or not at all). It now boots up every time within 30-60 seconds :) (thx moco for his insightful Directions/Post)

I made some discoveries last night though that all one has to do to make the right changes to their own NAND smc config was change:

ANA Fuse Value to 03 (Both)
Power Mode to 8480
Power VCS Control to 8555

Leave everything else pretty much the same as mucking around with gain/offset is not a good idea as it is the temp sensor adjustments and is custom for each xbox and has nothing to do with the RGH boot process.
Same as "Backup Data/Value" is exactly that, a backup of the ANA Fuse Value & gain/offset settings

I found that if you change only "ANA Fuse Value" and leave Power Mode & Power VCS Control the same as it was the xbox will RGH Boot but may freeze up or lose controller sync

Moco recommended settings (thx again :))
Program the Cr3- lite with TX's Falconrgh2 timing file
(lk1 short, lk2,3 and 4 all open) and set S2 dips to 2,4,8 and S4 to 4.
Use Slim settings

Important
I also found that most of my other falcon rgh2 mods that I have had done (trouble free install/booting) were already:

ANA Fuse Value 03
Power Mode 8480
Power VCS Control 8555

So if you open your NAND in 360 Flash Dump Tool and find it already at these setting leave them alone
chances are you wont have too much problem getting it booting well with good wiring and the right resister & cap combo :)

Glad to hear it also worked out for you. Just curious though, did you setup your cpu rst wire the same way I did or you did it some other way? The way I had it set up, I dont think its critical but it helped it boot a bit faster. :)

Thx Guys, I used the exact wire up over the top of white plastic fan shroud using shielded cable (full length supplied from coolrunner type c) have done 3x more since then using same set up :) like Martin C said it greatly improved stability to Pretty much 100% boot within 30 -60 (sometimes 1:30),

I tried compatible setup using Coolrunner type c
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Program the Coolrunner Type C with TX's Falconrgh2 timing file
Jumper 1-2 = Enable 10ohm Resistor on CPU_RST
Jumper open = No C15 to GND
CAP Jumper Closed = PLL ByPass 100nf cap to GND
(3.3k & 1k parallel) with 680pf Cap (tried on CR Pad & inline over Shroud)
Use Slim settings
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
But no Boot at all (No Debug light on Slim setting.... only on Phat)

The CR3 Lite was the only one I can get to work

So Im sticking to the CR3 lite setup as my (& moco's) previous post :)

Thanks. This worked for me. RGH2 Falcon with CR3 Lite set to slim. Boot times from instant to 60 secs but always freezing. Opened my updflash.bin and Run J-Runner SMC Config Editor. Edit > Set Values exactly as you suggested > Save > Copy updflash.bin to root of USB drive and boot xell > Automatically write nand > Solved. Thanks
