Hey,

I was wondering if it would be possible to take the drive board from a fat liteon drive and solder it into a slim drive?

The slim drive I have is on the latest dash so it is locked. I have the key from the slim so I am able to spoof the fat board.

Basically I am asking because the laser in my fat is dead and my slim board is locked. I have been been told by 2 friends of mine that it is possible but I have not seen any information on how to do it and the slim drive has 6 solder points and the fat drive only has 5.

If not I'll be getting a unlocked board but I'd figure I'd ask first if it is possible. I don't play online either. Drive spoofing no longer works for the slims as well right?

Thanks.

You can not spoof a slim drive on a retail console.

You need to unlock the original PCB or get Dummy.bin and use a replacement (unlocked) PCB.

If you choose to glitch the console, you can install a phat drive as long as you enable the NOFCRT XeBuild patch when building the glitch image.
