Hey is it possible to replace the Xbox DVD drive with another HDD since I don't ever use the DVD drive?

yes, of course. i dont see why not! if your just gonna take it out like you do to make a slim case or something. plus you can have two hdds and a dvd drive anyway, so yeah you could beat palmores record of 4 hdds and put like 5! haha two above the psu and part of the mobo, by where the original hdd goes, two ontop of each other where the dvd drive is, and 1 in the back by where the back of the dvd drive used to be. do i think you can have 5 hdds, will your xbox be able to do that? i would say no, but im really bored and i rampling on is fun! so in conclusion i would have to say yes you can, jus a some more fans. and oh yeah, post pix when you done, if you do it!

You still have to leave the Main board from the DVD/CD drive in the xbox , Or it will not boot.

So if you are willing to destroy a perfectly good drive , Or try and get a damaged one that still has a good mainboard - Yes you can remove the drive itself.

yes you can use 2 and get rid of the dvd but you have to make a switch because the xbox cant read them both at once
you also need find a bios that has the disable dvd boot
